Setting up an iPhone to Sync with Outlook

By roseburgtech

If you have an iPhone you can set it up to synchronize with information from Outlook.

Follow these steps to set up your phone

  • Go to the iPhone home screen and tap Settings
  • Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then Add Account…
  • Choose Microsoft Exchange as the account type
  • Enter your full e-mail address
  • The server address is: mail.roseburg.k12.or.us
  • The domain is: rsbgsd
  • Enter your user name (typically first initial, full last name)
  • Enter your Outlook password
  • The description can be whatever you like

You may get a message indicating that the iPhone is unable to verify the security certificate. If you do, tap Accept.

After the account information is verified you can select the type of information that you would like to synchronize.

Items that you have chosen to sync should now update automatically keeping both Outlook and your phone up to date.

More information about setting up accounts is available in the iPhone How To section of Apple’s web site.

Please note that this information is provided as a convenience for our users. Since phones are personal devices, not district-owned equipment, school district technical staff cannot normally work on your phone. If you have difficulty setting this up please refer to the above link for more information or contact your phone’s service provider.
